El gran Fugaris is an Afro-Caribbean Pico SoundSystem 'made in Holland'.
Following the example of the Colombian Pico's & Turbo's, the Fugaris brings a colorful
mix of Tropical sounds from Africa, Colombia and the Caribbean.
The Fugaris likes mostly danceable music such as Champeta, Cumbia, Salsa,
Merengue, Kompas, Zouk, Calypso, Rumba, Soukous, Reggae and a touch of gipsy influences.

El gran Fugaris is a colorful Colombian Pico, an eye-catcher at every festival. The over 3 meters high SoundSystem brings the typical Afro-Caribbean street party to your festival!
The Pico (soundsystem) and Picotero (DJ) are not standing on a stage but on the ground in the middle of the dancing audience.

How it's made
Raised on African and South American music, Fugaris (Picotero) (Demian van der Salm) finally makes his dream trip to Colombia in 2023. Besides attending Cumbia and Salsa concerts, Fugaris becomes fascinated by the many Pico soundsystems in Barranquilla and Cartagena. Back in the Netherlands, he decides to expand his hobby as a DJ and builds his own Pico soundsystem in his shed.
